Dear Laton Families,
It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I write this letter of introduction to you as the new principal of Laton Elementary and Laton Middle School. I am honored and privileged to share the responsibility with our staff as we provide memorable experiences for our students. Professionally, I possess over fourteen years of experience in the field of education and have served in the areas of Special Education, Mathematics, and School Administration in the K-12 setting.
On behalf of the entire staff, I would like to extend the warmest of welcomes to our schools! At Laton, we believe each student is unique and strive to create a learning environment that addresses their individual strengths and needs. We celebrate cultural diversity and are dedicated to cultivating positive relationships with our families and community. We believe these partnerships are integral to help provide our students with culturally relevant and meaningful learning experiences.
I would like to thank you for your support and understanding during the difficult times that we have gone through due to COVID-19. I am very proud of the way our students, parents, staff, and community members handled the demands we were faced with to protect everyone as we continued to educate our students during these circumstances. As you know, there continues to be concerns and questions regarding how our school plans to reopen and maintain a safe environment. While we are in the business of educating, our first priority is the safety of our students and our staff. Be assured, we have been working diligently to make sure your child receives high-quality education in the safest environment possible. Our desire is to return to school as normal with enhanced safety and cleaning procedures. However, we must be prepared during these ever-changing times to make any necessary adjustments if and when circumstances change during the school year in order to ensure the health and safety of our students and staff.
I look forward to working with each of you to provide the best educational experience for your child. As partners in education, together, we will make our schools a better place for all children.

Con gran placer y entusiasmo les escribo esta carta de presentación como nuevo director de Laton Elementary y Laton Middle School. Me siento honrado y privilegiado de compartir la responsabilidad con nuestro personal mientras brindamos experiencias memorables para nuestros estudiantes. Profesionalmente, poseo más de catorce años de experiencia en el campo de la educación y he servido en las áreas de Educación Especial, Matemáticas y Administración Escolar en nivel de primaria, secundaria, y preparatoria.
¡En nombre de todo el personal, me gustaría extender la más cordial bienvenida a nuestras escuelas! En Laton, creemos que cada estudiante es único y nos esforzamos por crear un ambiente de aprendizaje que aborde sus fortalezas y necesidades individuales. Celebramos la diversidad cultural y estamos dedicados a cultivar relaciones positivas con nuestras familias y comunidad. Creemos que estas asociaciones son integrales para ayudar a proporcionar a nuestros estudiantes experiencias de aprendizaje significativas y culturalmente relevantes.
Me gustaría agradecerle su apoyo y comprensión durante los tiempos difíciles que hemos pasado debido a COVID-19. Estoy muy orgulloso de la forma en que nuestros estudiantes, padres, personal y miembros de la comunidad manejaron las demandas que enfrentamos para proteger a todos mientras continuamos educando a nuestros estudiantes durante estas circunstancias. Como saben, sigue habiendo inquietudes y preguntas sobre cómo nuestra escuela planea reabrir y mantener un ambiente seguro. Mientras estamos en el negocio de la educación, nuestra primera prioridad es la seguridad de nuestros estudiantes y nuestro personal. Tenga la seguridad de que hemos estado trabajando diligentemente para asegurarnos de que su hijo reciba una educación de alta calidad en el ambiente más seguro posible. Nuestro deseo es regresar a la escuela de manera normal con procedimientos mejorados de seguridad y limpieza. Sin embargo, debemos estar preparados durante estos tiempos siempre cambiantes para hacer los ajustes necesarios si las circunstancias cambian durante el año escolar para garantizar la salud y la seguridad de nuestros estudiantes y personal.
